HTC Touch Viva - Review

It's been almost a 1 1/2 months i used the phone.. So far it's been good to me except for one time when I accidentaly dropped it in the bathroom. It fell flat on the tiles. So painful i tell u. The phone went bonkers for a while and thankfully, came back alive after that. If not, i sure koyak liao :)So, I actually managed discover so many other features besides the camera! Woot Woot!

So proud of myself!In the HTC, there's this Office Mobile at the start button where you can find Excel Mobile, OneNote Mobile, Powerpoint Mobile and Word Mobile. Cool eh?

Word Mobile is like Microsoft Word. It comes pretty handy to me when I needed to copy lecture notes. Now I high tech adi, so don't want to write. Only lasted for the first time, LOL. When I tried for the first time. Typing every single word from the lecture slides is madness and boy, it takes so much time to type the entire thing. Maybe my fingers quite fat, cannot type properly also. The layout is the same - got the function for underline, bold, paragraph. and when I transfered it to the PC, it is transfered as a doc file! exactly like microsoft and it looks like the real word. cool eh!

It's not like those where u transfer the file and it becomes Wordpad or notepad. those are not nice..

Excel Mobile is exactly the same!But when I tried to open Powerpoint Mobile, takejadi. cannot open at all.. so sad..

Apart from that, I really like my text messages inbox. The conversation are recorded and compiled between me and the sender. It's like MSN messenger! It makes things more convenient and easy to read as well!

I also tried this Handwriting recognition thing. .. its cool too.. very fun but abit troublesome though, it's recognition pace is slow, 2 seconds to recognise...

it's pretty cool to have microsoft office in the phone, and the best thing I like most bout SMS is that Im able to read the previous sender messages! i dont have to go back n open one after another, hehe! :P

OMG! Just watched Transformers 2 in the Gardens GSC Signature Gold Class babeh!
It was awesome! An awesome experience for me! It's my first time watching a movie in the Gold Class wey!

Thank you MYC! for inviting me and Mr.Boss Jason Ko for booking the entire hall for the whole crew to enjoy the movie! Even though I'm no longer there, yet still can enjoy together! Eeee! I'm soo happpppy!

Isn't is strange how a RM20 seems like a large amount when we give to the offering bucket
but such a small amount when we go shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when we're at church,
and how short they seem when we're watching a movie?

Isn't it strange that we can't find a word to say when you're praying but..
we have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange
how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible but
how easy it is to read 300 pages of popular novel or Dan Brown Book?

Isn't it strange how we want front-row-tickets to concerts or games but
we do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church?

Isn't it strange
how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks
before the day so we can include it in our agenda,
but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn't it strange
how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others;
but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange
how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say but...
we question the words in the Bible?

Isn't it strange

how we all want a place in heaven but....
we don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?

Woot woot, I get to use a touch/pda/windows mobile for the first time in my life. As most of you know me, I usually don't spend my money on gadgets, even on a cell phone. I only use cell phones as long I can call and text message. That's all good for me already.

So, I finally got this HTC Touch Viva phone ! :) I got selected to participate in this 3 month phone review thing, so that means I will use the touch viva for 3 months, and hopefullly I can earn the phone myself just by blogging and being "active" in the facebook forum which I probably would've invited you to join. Please please approve the invitation okaaay! :) I'll belanja one lemon coke! hehe

Anyway, the first i did the minute i got the phone was to try out the camera! Haha and the lucky first person whom I took a pic of is non other than.. Alan Tan! Thanks dude for picking me and going through the hassle to find the roads to Kelana Square!

Haha, a typical girl like me would do the first thing when the new phone gets on her hand. To take photossss! Sial! It's been pretty fun to use the phone so far,just managed to figured out how to transfer song from the pc to the phone.. only by downloading the active sync and that's all! And on Friday, Eugene helped me to find the calculator in my HTC. I was looking for it everywhere! My my, I'm such a a tech noob. Will do better and update more about HTC! :)

Yup, here I am..at the MPPJ library, this very moment, blogging. It's so weird to be here after so many years. The last time I came here was back then in Form 5. Those days, this was the spot for the so called group study for the big exam and puppy-love pak toh time! my my, i used to come here so often just to meet *ahem* :P

I have no choice but to come here since there's wi-fi and it's air conditioned. It's soooo burning hot at home, i sweat every time i come out from the shower. It's crazy weather here in Malaysia!

I feel so old suddenly, being in the library. the minute i enter the gate, so many things running through my mind. those good old times, such happy moments and sad emo memories keep swimming in my mind. as i pushed the door, my heart was heavy. weird i tell u..

i remember how i cried so badly at the canteen with Brian Horny after the breakup. it was crazy, and there was how my friendship with Alan became closer after some emo talk. My goodness, its been so many years! ahhh.. this place gives me a weird feeling, some sorta nice relieved but a lil heavy thing.

man, how am i suppose to concentrate on my sermon if things keep running in my mind..

Good Morning people!

It's 9.42am and I'm awake, on Facebook, Twitter and Blog. Downloading this iTunes software thing. Seems pretty cool. Not like I have an iPod or what la :P

Woke up at 7.15am to renew my driving license which I never used for the past 3 years! This is the funniest thing ever. People still ask "How I ever did get my license?". Go figure wei! The answer is so obvious! Not sure if I'm allowed to reveal it here, just in case some blog tracker put me on jail, koyak sial. Cannot really blame me why I did it 3 years back, I was only 17! My dad said it's the best thing to do, and he didnt want me to delay my license anymore. So I follow lorr.. :) It's not something proud but I admit my mistakes. Don't follow my footsteps, it's terrible.

I rememebered how Nigel used to teach me like 2 years ago? My mom would pay him like RM20 to teach me how to drive and it was fun la those times. The first practise right, i drove round and around in 20km/j at the pasar malam opposite Kavita's. So bodoh wei. Then I started to drive around Taman Petaling School, and then this Wei Theng and Ken would record my driving from behind, laughing at me all. Crazy people! Haha. those were good times :) Now, no more adi. Everyone's busy, I'm busy with my own agenda. Thankfully we still meet for birthdays, same for Sot B gang. At least, we still keep in touch through the email.

It's been a while I'm on my laptop, listening to Hillsongs early in the morning, without anyone looking what I'm doing. Total freedom! Those days in the office, it was pretty difficult cos my boss would showed up at my back randomly! gives me a total shock-ness i tell u..

Cher, myself and Reggy

Its already May, almost half a year gone. Time passed so quickly. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have You in my life. So many things had happened but it was God's promise and strength who kept me strong til this day. Mixed emotions towards different situation, struggles with confidence, doubt in my own leadership and the things I want to do, worries of the future and burden on my shoulders. It's amazing how God put such challenges ahead me, increasing my faith towards His work in everything i do. I've been richly blessed in my relationship, my work, ministry and finances.. God's blessing and favor has been with me the day I started my work, the day I believe in Him where all things are possible through Christ.

Though things are difficult and challenging, God continued to challenge me to keep giving and sowing in the house of God, preparing myself to sacrifice the material things I value, to learn to put Him first in everything especially monetary. It's faith streching but God never shortchanged me, blessings upon blessings keep pouring and the promises of God during hard times became so real to me. My faith increased and my walk is strenghtened. I learnt to please God first, rather please men. Not many people accepts this, it doesnt matter to me anymore. Whats more important is what appears in the eyes of God.

Was a church on tuesday, practising for my preaching test with Cher. And we ended up talking til 4am. Pity Zia Hau, waiting for us to finish. We talked and shared our problems, and the challenges we faced dealing with the past. It made me realised alot of things, nobody is prefect. We have own weaknesses, own habits, own past and flaws. But God is good, He can turn them into blessings in others' life. My past was complicated and dramatic, popularity, boys, relationships, fame, ego, u name it! I enjoyed attention, who doesn't? We're not perfect, we need our family to encourage each other, support and protect each other from falling.

Ahh.. so much to say, and to praise Him!

Anyway, I prepared my first sermon for the coming preaching test. It's real and full of my own personal testimonies, how I've transform and mindset renew. I'm excited to share with my fellow cell members tonight :)

Last day at MYC!.. since internshiping here on 5th Jan 09. It's been 4 months long! I've learnt so much,especially as a PA and how the magazine and events work. Much happy and emo memories to be remembered! The thing I loveee most working here is the people in MYC! My colleagues are really cool, caring, weird at times -__- , fun and funnny!

arggghh.. the mood is moody today. woke up with a heavy heart. have been receiving quite a bit of discouragements from a few people. its not a good feeling, it makes you feel like you're the lousiest person and that you're not fit to take up more things. arghhh! i don't like this feeling.

ANYWAY...

YEAY! met petpet, lester & marvin for a durian feast (only ate 2 durians -__-) under a super duper hot sun last Sunday. wanted to eat cendol, dun have. wanted to eat dim sum, shop closed. A&W the next best thing but it was yucky. A&W standard drop adi.

it's the first time I finish work early on Monday! at 5.45pm! OMG, how early is that?? :)
the cheap labor works till 11pm sometimes 12am almost every other night.. its all good, i survived and learnt so much more than I ever imagined!

only Monday at 5.45, the rest still at bout 7-8pm..

FINALLLY! watched confessions of a shopaholic!! with alantan pie.. ahh, i really needed that! just talking and watching a chick flick! thanks dear! :) and that sinful kfc u made me eat at 1.30am.. im gonna kill u when i see u the next time. that 1.30am kfc gave me a gross tummy to work.. -__- do u still want more corn in cup delivery?

FINALLY! I got my pay check! yes yes! i looooveeeeee it. First thing, to give my tithe to God. God's been so good and blessings are coming through in. Sow and you reap the harvest, AMEN!

Cell group was great, presence of God was strong even only with 6 people. Ate the cheapest chicken chop ever in town.. RM5.00 only!

CG just multiplied on Wednesday and a new CG is born. W45! :) It's been almost a year and half-ish we're in the same cell group and now that we have grown, cell group is too small to contain so many of us. It's a good problem, amen! It's just so weird not gathering with the rest like how we used to in a big circle and doing mexican wave & oooohhhing when a new friend comes. It's weird not meeting each other after service and praying together as a cell. We're all so close to each other that tears and laughter were shared among all. Ahhh, i really miss everybody! :(

It's Sunday Night already. One whole week just passed?
What have I done for the past one week? How come it ended so quickly?

1. Watched Marley & Me with Sin Yee
2. Attended Leaders Meeting (will do better next time!)
3. Work
4. Cell Group Multiplication, Wooo Hooo!
5. Cell Leader's Training
6. Work until 12.30am on a Friday Night! =(
7. Had a FIRST LONG GREAT laugh of 2009 with Petpet, Lester & CowGirl.
8. Had lunch with Nigel FINALLY!
9. Attended service and served.
10. Tasted my dad's first homemade vege pau, taste not too bad la..

It looks fruitful from what I see. Met up with a few people I havent seen in ages and I miss all of them! Now I can see that time flies just so quickly, and now it's already MARCH! reaching the first quarter of the year 2009 already?

Wow! My boss was invited to attend Barbie's 50th Birthday Party today at Metrojaya, Mid Valley. and guess who he brought along as well?? MEEEEEE!! Hehehe :P

Krys has been planning for her farewell ever since, and finally the day has come, Hehe. We drove up after service on Sunday, reached there around 4. Organized the place abit with help from everyone. Got the pics from our dearest most-effiecient-photo-uploader michika & harukajukukumalu..

It's been ages since I ever taste my mom's homecook soup, especially the groundnut soup.
It's been ages I ever had a good long sweet 8 hours of sleep.

It's tiring & challenging juggling between work, commitments, family and social.

But it's all good for the Joy of the Lord shall be my strength.

It's the 2nd day of Morning Churchwide Prayer Meeting and I'm still at office, just to found out the team meeting is canceled. And Praise God for his joy is my strength, I'm still awake & refreshed.

What's an EEM?

E.E.M stands for EMERGENCY EMO MEETING.

Something my girlfriends and I totally created just last week. My gosh, this is effective okay! I was talking to Bestie the other day to postponed our mamak date and something emo came up in our conversation. Somehow that emoness totally made us so emo that we felt like calling the other girlfriends and all. So I called a girlfriend and shared with her our emo issues, and there you go, we had the EEM, Emergency Emo Meeting la duh!

You'll know when to have an EEM when:

a) When you start saying "Oh my gosh", "Oh my God", "Oh NO" and the Ohs a million hundred times in 5 minutes.

b) When you start saying "Emo wei", "I' so EMO right now" or anything EMO a million hundred times in 5 minutse

hmmm.. if most of u noe me by hard, u'll noe how EMO i can get at silly things! hehe :P

CNY Lunch with MYC!

Jason(the CEO and Editor of MYC!) was so generous and kind to bring us for CNY lunch in Hanazen, a Japanese Restaurant in Jaya One last Friday. It was fun! Everyone enjoyed their lunch, had yee-sang and took some photos.

I've been so blessed to have the opportunity to learn from the CEO of the company. I've learnt so much about event management, branding ideas, following up with clients, fresh creative concepts and coordinating schedules. God has been so good to me! :)

Now even my boss knows that I eat so much like pig. He always bring me out for meetings, and then sometimes have lunch together - It's so hard to be all polite-eating-only-salad type of girl wei! I just whack only, order what I feel like eating when I'm hungry. So now he knows I love eating rich and alot too! Anyway, dis is about CNY Lunch with MYC!

It's the 21st birthday for Miss.Lee Wai Yi :)
Boy, we've known each other since the first day of primary back then in MPS. I was sitting alone, and there she came and sat next to me. We became best friends since then! Those days when u're in primary one, every body has a best friend. She was my best friend then and still is now. Someone whom I shared most of my childhood time with from barbie dolls, jenga times, the Ng Gang, boys crushes, football, BSB & N'sync fan alert and tons tons of crazy & fun MPS moments!

It's a SMART Pen eh?

It's the coolest pen in town wei, and a smart one too! This new technology device was in the US just for 6 months and it has arrived in Malaysia!

There you go, introducing the Smart Pen!

And there you have : the Smart Pen, the Smart Pen Cover, the Smart Pen Charger & USB, the Landyard aka ear piece and the Smart pen ink refill : All in the Smart Pen kit.

This is the first thing you see when u flip open the cover. You see a demo card for paper piano & translator and calculator (in a sticker form).

Sticker you ask? Hehe. You can like stick calculators and other stuffs anywhere you want (Laptop, Cell phone and etc) and the function of the Smart Pen still works! Amazing eh?

Heheh.. That's my hand! holding the Smart Pen. and actually USING it! :)

Oh yeah, I talk so much about Smart Pen but I haven't tell what is for. Haha :P Anyway, this Smart Pen functions as a mini computer assistant thing la. It can record, replay and share with your friends(via online: MSN & Facebook). For example: During lecture or a meeting, obviously you cannot write everything your lecturer/boss says right? So you use the Smart Pen to record it and then you can replay it when you want to recall back what your lecturer/boss said earlier. It's like a tape recorder, but WAY COOLER and smarter!

First: Hold your pen like usual, direct your pen (the tip) and tab it on the record paper button. There's no button, just flat paper with that record/pause/stop picture thingymagic.

Then you start writing your notes as usual. Usually, you won't be able to write the entire sentence your lecturer/boss says. But with Smart Pen, you can just write in point form and later, you can replay it back over and over again!
After writing the notes and bla, you just tab on the STOP paper button when you finish lecture/meeting. To recall back, just tab on the word you have written. And there's this speaker built-in the pen that will replay back whichever note you have written.

You can even adjust the volume of the speaker, just by tabbing on the volume paper button!
Now, let me tell you guys more about the Demo Card!

As you can see the Demo Card, you can actually use the translator function and play paper piano (my best feature so far!).

Let's say you're a Banana (can't speak mandarin for nuts like me! :P ),simply write the word you wants to say in mandarin and the Smart Pen will translate it for you in words & audio(the speaker will speak it out for you)!

Simply write the word you want to translate in mandarin. For example: HELLO.
Use the pen and tab on the word HELLO.

And there you go, the speaker will say "Ni Hao" and on the screen, the chinese character will appear!

There are other functions too! Like the Time, Date, Battery & Storage function.

If you want to know the time, use the Smart pen and tab it on the Time icon
And there you SEE! the time will appear!
Same for the date!

And the battery! Oh yeah, all you need to do is charge the battery for about 2 hours and you can use it for the whole day! Cool eh?
This pen carries 1GB which records 100 hours of audio in total!
Oh ya! One last thing, you also have the calculator!
This is the calculator..
The way to use the calculator is the same as the common ones we all use.
Use the Smart pen and tab on the figures and calculation you want. And then tab on the equal "=" sign. And there, you get your answer on the screen!

Oh btw, after writing and all, you can actually plug the pen on the USB and every page with notes that you have written will appear through a software that you need to download. Then you can actually SHARE it with your friends via MSN or Facebook, it's a photo/jpeg/pdf file like dat but only with your written notes & recorded audio!

You know how all it works or not? There's actually a camera under the tip of the pen which captures, records and recognizes all the writings you have written and recorded. And each paper contains its own microscopic kinda code grid thing that enables the Smart Pen to recognize the exact location of the notes you have written! It's a mini computer assistant aka SMART PEN.

Internship

Started my internship on the 5th January at MYC!. There's 5 of us interns learning together this time around. The staff in MYC are friendly and outgoing. First thing we did was go through the January issue of MYC, heheh. yeay! now we get to read the issue first hand.

There's this really cute and funny colleague who wore the Gloria ( Hippo from Madagascar) hairband at work. She's soo adorable and she's the one who wrote most of the content in the mag! And the fun part of being an intern here is that we can wear jeans and any smart casual top. I can even wear my super cute bright pink crocs to work! Jealous right? haha =p

I was suppose to be learning from the PR exec of the company during my internship and praise God for favor and opportunity, the CEO of the company wants me to learn from him instead. He wants to train me. I have to write reports in every briefing and client meetings I attend. I'll be assisting the CEO to meetings and trainings and all sorts *looks like i'm doing a PA work but heck,get to learn from the CEO is such an opportunity. Wow! I was so amazed by the plan God has prepared for me even on my first day of internship!

Today it's my 4th day of internship. Waiting for the CEO to come back to office so we can head to Maxis tower to bid for a upcoming project proposal. It's gonna be exciting! weeet!

Hehe. First day of work wert, sure must wear formal and look presentable!

Serving

What a privilege! I've been serving in the Usher ministry for almost a year now and I'm called to serve in the hospitality ministry where I will be serving Pastor and guest speakers in the guest room. And just having to serve in a new ministry just on Saturday in hospitality was a great experience for me. I see a whole different side of Pastor. He's so funny and caring, flexible, and nice. He didn't scold us at all, he even invited us to sit down on the couch with him when he's preparing his sermon for service. I never imagined myself to being so near to Pastor, and now a privilege to serve Pastor and his family. Wow! I can't wait to learn more about this ministry- being sharp, observant, confidence and having a sweet spirit.

Ahhh, I need to learn how to prepare meals and how to arrange them nicely on the plate..something I don't usually do at all. I told my parents about it and my mom laughed at me, that finally I'm "forced" to do some cooking and housework, and wants me to learn cooking from her as well. Hmmm.. I was quite reluctant cos the kitchen is sorta not my best friend but again, I wouldn't mind. After all, I guess cooking will be fun? Since baking is so fun, i guess cooking wouldn't hurt. Haha Thankfully I have Sarah Popo, Alicia, Salina and Ian Lee together in the team!

God has been so wonderful and great to me. He's has prepared so many things for me to do. So many things out of my imagination, things I thought I will never be able to do but He made it happen for me. So real. I'm really blessed by God's plans for me. =)

Ahh, probably this is gonna be some sampat kopisoh type of blog la where once u read it, sure u know it's me writing wan la. omg, what's with the wan and la? don't tell me nigel's right, im becoming cheena already JOR. heheh
